The gold items, with a lot of perfect mods are always the most expensive items

Check out the Auction forum. Currently theres a semi-perfect Serpent Axe selling for over 2million, buyout at 500 ectoplasms. Thats probably the highest I've ever seen something, and definately not worth it in my opinion.

Why don't we make up a dream expensive item?

Gold 3/1 Vampirec Crystaline Sword of Fotitude +30hp, 15% unconditional always

What would be the prize of that? 1000 ecto?

6 million? Holy crap. How would you have that much money to spend? Oh, wait, I forgot. Anyone with that much money either farms 20 hours a day or goes on Ebay for a quick million bucks.

You can make way over 6 million doing stuff other than farming or ebay

if i were to be ever so stupid as to pay even over 100k +ecto or whatever for a weapon, that weapon sure has hell had better kill something in 1-2 f'n hits, i think it's so crazy the prices the people just throw out there, but people are willing to pay it. for what reason, besides just to show off with. makes no sense to me.

hell i know my drago bow, or elswyth vamp bow have the best mods on them. and i know they can take down any warrior with a 1-3or 6 million weapon, before they kill me.

Well that's just the way things work out in the world. I mean people are out there in the real world buying huge, ugly, gas guzzling Hummers, which is 10x more impractical then paying hanus prices for things in a computer game. I'm alll about the greens because they're cheaper versions of weapons with good mods that, for the most part, don't look half bad. Of course on the other hand I'm a crazy 15k armor fiend. It's just all about having tons of options for how to spend your gold on improving your personal gameplay experience.

I remember, months ago, seeing a Crystalline Sword (I believe either req 7 or 8), 15%>50, with I believe sundering and fortitude mods, go for over $500 real USD.

Well the most expensive I have seen is a 12 million dollar purchase of a perfect crystalline. Unfortunately the purchase never went through as the middleman (and supposed friend of buyer) took buyer's ecto/items and laughed as he pocketed them.

Yes this is true, it all played out right here on the forums.

Imagine paying 12 million for the item you've lusted after, only to have your friend pocket your funds and tell you tough luck.

I think its crazy that a spiked axe with 15%^5) req 8 is worth about 35-50k and a dwarven axe with those stats is about 3 million. I think this is petty but i have sort of got used to it.

Not sure where I saw this, but I seem to remember someone talking on this forum of an req 8, 15% unconditional crystalline sword they bought for over 70 mil in gold and items. Dude said he had to borrow from all of his guildmates to cover the cost.
